We have been bolstering the popularity of baseball by offering various products including official balls and balls for catch ball.

We started manufacturing softball baseball balls in 1947, immediately after the end of the war. We introduced Type A for regular players, Type B for junior high-school students, Type C for elementary school students and Type D for early elementary school students, in series.

Top Ball, the semi-hardball baseball ball we released in 1949, was soon certified as an official ball for the Japan University Softball Baseball Championship Tournament and is still so.

Top Ball opened the door to semi-hardball baseball

In 1949, we developed this ball by filling the inside of a softball baseball ball (a hollow rubber ball) with 4 layers of different materials. This ball was new in the sense that it had the feel of a softball baseball ball but its pitching and hitting speed was equal to that of a hardball baseball ball. This ball opened up a new category of semi-hardball baseball. In the same year, this ball was used in the All Kobe Invitational Tournament. Also in the next year, this ball was recognized as an official ball for the 2nd Japan University Softball Baseball Championship Tournament. Since then, this ball has been used in the same championship tournament.
